Overview

The information panel contains the tabs: Selection, Layers and FAQs. Each tab contains different information for the user.

Selection Tab

The Selection tab is where information is displayed from selections made either by the Spatial Selection Tools or from the Search Tabs.
Following is an example of the Selection Tab after a selection is made:



Previous/Next Buttons   The Next and Back buttons in the information panel appear when there is more than 1 piece of information for a particular object. In the example above there are 5 parcels of land in the selection made by the user. The next 'Block' of data (titled Property) displays information relating to the current parcel data in the first 'Block' (Parcel 4 of 5). The Property 'block' indicates there are three properties (or dwellings) on this parcel of land and is displaying information for property 1 of 3.

NOTE: Not all IntraMaps Public installations will be configured in this way. This is an example only.

List Button

If configured, the List Button will pop up a new window containing specified information about the map objects that you have selected. It may be used as an alternative to the Next button when there are many records selected and you only need to view information on a specific object. Rather than scrolling through your selection (using the next/previous buttons) until you can see data about the object you want, you can simply select it from the list and view the information immediately.

        


Layers Tab


The Layers Tab displays a list of all the layers of information in the Map Window the user can manipulate. The first column of checkboxes allows users to alter a layer from being visible to invisible - and vice versa. The second column of checkboxes allows the user to turn labelling on for object in the specified layer. Some layers in the Map Window may not be available to the user to manipulate. The layers shown with greyed out italic text are those layers that are not currently visable at the current map zoom level. When zooming in or out with the Layer Tab showing these will not automatically update. Click on the Layer Tab again to force it to refresh after zooming in or out.

FAQs Tab


The FAQs Tab displays an expandable list of the most common functionality of the IntraMaps Public application. Simply click on the and follow the steps listed.
